  The funeral home was not at all prepared for a large funeral and instead of honestly telling the family this and recommending a larger funeral home they ruined the funeral of our loved one instead. When it came time for the immediate family to be seated they actually pushed the immediate family into a side room and then seated non family members in the family section. When we tried to explain what had happened we were told not to make a scene....not to make a scene? They were rude; they were understaffed, unorganized, and honestly appeared to just not really sincerely care about the emotions of the family during the funeral. We stood in the lobby of that funeral home hurt and absolutely angry. I suggest that everyone try to find a funeral home that cares that your loved one has passed away and not one who is just in business to make money at burying people.

  Thank you! Whiddon Shiver Funeral Home made the passing of our mom much easier to accept. They took into consideration all our wishes and had everything prepared for our service. The staff went above and beyond what we expected. Again - thank you for being there in our time of need and may God bless you.

  July 22nd 2007 I made my first trip to Thomasville Georgia to bury my one and only sibling. The guys at the funeral home went above and beyond for our family. From taking pictures of him in the coffin for my grandmother, to placing a homemade afghan in his coffin as a last minute request to a grieving sister. A year after his passing We called the funeral home and asked if there was anyway we could order flowers for my brothers grave and have them delivered to the funeral home and someone take them over to his grave. We are in Charlotte NC and could not make it down on the first anniversary. This was request was taken without hesitation. I wish there wear more funeral homes out there that offered the hospitality this one did. Thank you for everything. Your special touch has not been forgotten
